Description

Uniform background limestone, with medium to gross grain and a substantial hardness compared to other similar looking Portuguese limestones. The Creme de Mós is a beige coloured limestone with less recognition than most of its similar stones from Portugal. Despite the current positive perspectives for the future, this is a limited limestone with shortage of resources.

The extraction is uniquely done by a reduced number of quarries, which normally generate small to medium sized blocks in order to prevent cracks.
