The Ganjam Flagship Store is already a reference project in Bangalore – India, which was entirely supplied with Portuguese beige limestone Ataija. This is a very hard limestone that accepted very well the flamed + brushed surface finishing requested by the architect.
Designed by architecture studio specialized on high-end luxury shops RDAI from France, the Ganjam Flagship store became a reference on this sort of projects in India. The inspiration was drawn from the Hampi temples that’s built with a modern touch. Located on one of the fashionable streets of the City, the store is a contemporary interpretation of a temple that reflects the deep heritage of Ganjam.
This project involved the supply of both exterior and interior applications, essentially covering the entire store with Portuguese limestone. The exterior cladding comprised the straight panels with 30mm thickness, but also a main portal or entrance where the accuracy of cutting and finishing are outstanding. All the interiors were also covered with the same limestone, with similar type of finishing. Here, we see all flooring, as well as interior wall coverings showing a fantastic colour and harmony with the rest of the store´s decoration. In addition, staircases were also supplied, which included a carved handrail.
The end result is a fantastic project and an unique reference in India of how beige limestone can add value to a structure and help build a brand
